League Fees, Training Fees, Uniforms Update

dollar-signs2

Please make your payment of $60 by March 5 (our Thursday-evening practice next week) to cover your share of the league fee. We need the training fee of $45 per player to be paid by April 2.

Players who double roster (U7s who also play U8s, for example) may need to make an additional payment once we sort out the rosters.

Checks should be made out to “Jace Nuby, LLC”.

We’re waiting for some pricing information from our uniform vendor, and we’re finalizing the sponsorship contributions that have been graciously offered by friends of the club. Therefore, we still do not have a firm figure yet for uniform costs. The original amount suggested of approximately $30 is still looking fairly accurate.

Fundraisers Being Considered

Training fees are our primary source for compensating our additional coaching staff, but we feel that our current training fees will not adequately allow us to bring in the number of additional coaches we’d like to offer our players. We’d like to add one or two more coaches this spring if possible. But because we also have the goal of containing costs as much as possible, we’re not prepared at this point to dramatically raise our training fees. Instead, we would like to conduct a fundraiser or two this season as a way to supplement this part of our budget.

We’ll share more information in the coming weeks, and we’ll try to make it as brief and painless as possible.

Outdoor Practices Added to Calendar

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

winter-soccerFC Springfield will hold outdoor practices 6-7:30 PM every Tuesday evening in February at JFK Stadium on the campus of Parkview High School, beginning Feb. 10.

Weather conditions will be taken into consideration on a week-by-week basis.

Players should wear shorts and t-shirts underneath long-sleeved sweat clothes, as well as their cleats and shin guards. Please bring your own ball and water to practice. The drinking fountains are turned off this time of year.

All players–indoor and outdoor–are encouraged to attend.
